Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026

1. Introduction

At Sukimori, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services. Please read this privacy policy carefully. Where we rely on your consent to process certain information — including intimacy preferences and other sensitive data — we will ask for that consent separately within the app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Email address
  • Account credentials
  • Profile information (name, date of birth, sex)
  • Intimacy preferences, comfort levels, and information about personal items you choose to share during onboarding and use of the app
  • Content generated through use of our services
  • Usage data and analytics
  • IP address and device information
  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Survey responses, if you choose to participate in optional surveys or feedback prompts within the app

We do not collect precise location data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

  • Providing and maintaining our services
  • Connecting you with your partner within the app
  • Processing your payments and subscriptions
  • Sending service-related communications and push notifications
  • Improving our services and user experience
  • Detecting and preventing fraud or abuse
  • Complying with legal obligations

We do not use your generated content or personal relationship data to train AI models. Your content remains private and is only used to provide you with our services.

4. Partner-Linked Data

Sukimori is designed for couples, meaning certain data is shared between you and your partner while you are paired. If either you or your partner unpairs, shared content associated with that pairing is hidden from both partners and active shared quests are cancelled. This content is retained on our servers so that if the same two users re-pair, the previously shared content becomes accessible again. To permanently delete shared content, delete your account (see Section 9).

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of third-party service providers to operate our app:

  • Cloud infrastructure: Used to store account and app data securely
  • Payment processing: Your payment information is handled directly by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers
  • AI services: Used to generate content and personalized experiences
  • Analytics: Used to understand app usage and improve our services

These providers only access your data as necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

6. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your information to law enforcement when required by law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Request export or portability of your data
  • Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Opt-out of push notifications via your device settings

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Your account will be permanently deleted after 30 days. You can cancel the deletion by logging back in within that period. Once processed, your personal data will be removed except where retention is required by law.

10. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: To provide you with our services
  • Legitimate interest: To improve our services and prevent fraud
  • Consent: For marketing communications and optional features
  • Explicit consent: For special category data, including intimacy preferences, comfort levels, and related information you choose to share. You may withdraw this consent at any time, in which case we will stop processing that data and delete it where it is not required to provide the service you have requested.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Where you have provided consent for data processing, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us or adjusting your preferences within the app. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt-out of the sale of your personal information

We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us using the information below.

12. Analytics, Tracking, and SDKs

We use analytics software development kits (SDKs) and similar technologies to understand how our app is used and to improve your experience. This includes:

  • Analytics SDKs: We use third-party analytics services to collect information about app usage, including screens visited, features used, session duration, device type, operating system, and app version. This data helps us understand user behavior, measure feature engagement, and improve our services.
  • Device Identifiers: Our analytics tools may use anonymous identifiers to distinguish unique users and track activity across sessions. These identifiers do not reveal your real-world identity.
  • Surveys and Feedback: We may present optional in-app surveys or feedback prompts to gather your opinions on our services. Participation is voluntary, and any responses you provide may be linked to your usage data to help us better understand user needs.
  • Cookies and Local Storage: If you access our services through a web browser, we may use cookies and local storage to maintain your session, store preferences, and collect analytics data. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect functionality.

You can control certain tracking preferences through your device settings.

13. Children's Privacy

Our services are strictly for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under 18 years of age.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy and updating the "Last Updated" date.

15. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

16. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our cloud infrastructure and service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

17. Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice within the app of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your information.

18. De-identified and Aggregated Data

We may use your personal information to create de-identified or aggregated data, such as anonymized usage statistics, demographic trends, or other analytics. De-identified and aggregated data is not personal information and may be used for any lawful purpose, including research, analysis, and improving our services.

19. Third-Party Links

Our services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our app.

20. Contact Us
